I want to salute Nike for their powerful Super Bowl commercial—a bold statement in the ongoing movement to elevate women in sports. This spot goes beyond athleticism: It celebrates women athletes and recognizes who they are more fully.

We are seeing an uplifting of women in sports and inspiring admiration of their dedication, courage and strength. For young girls watching, the message is clear: You can be anything you want to be. We see that power within you.
